Home Directions Guest Book Tour Asheville Cabin

We loved staying in the 1920's log cabin. The cabin was immaculate and all amenities were made available to us, i.e., washer/dryer, linens, towels, toiletries, eating utensils and dinnerware. The owner greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of the cabin. She also told us of the many attractions in the area, directions included, and informed us of the best restaurants in the area. The decor in the cabin was fabulous. Actually, we had to shop for nothing. The owner had stocked the refrigerator with breakfast items for us, cold drinks, coffee and juice. There was also popcorn there which we really enjoyed while we watched some the movie videos that were in the cabin for our enjoyment. The cabin was located in a very quiet and peaceful area and it was easy to fall into a relaxed state after a day of sightseeing. I can honestly say that there was nothing we needed as it was all provided for us. We have made four trips to Asheville and this was the best place and the most affordable place we have stayed in. I am looking forward to returning in the fall for the foliage and will definitely stay there again. I rate the accommodations a ten as it was private, spotless, quiet and everything was supplied for us including reading materials. We absolutely loved it.

My wife and I and our three children had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Bev and Dave pay attention to every detail. The cabin was wonderful for a vacation and is so close to all of the sites we wanted to see in NC and Tenn. It's just a hop to the Blue Ridge Parkway. And, when we were tired from a long day, it was so nice to come back to a clean, beautifully furnished place. We would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially families.

My granddaughter and I spent 2 nights at the Blue Ridge Cabin in August. We were delighted with it.
My granddaughter is 14, and she was thrilled with it. She noticed all the special decorator touches, especially the wall shelf by the bunk bed. The cabin was clean and well kept. There was milk and juice in the refrigerator and other staples in the cabinets so we didn't have to buy extra groceries that would normally be thrown away.
The first night we relaxed in the jacuzzi, played a game, ordered delivery pizza, and watched a movie, then slept great. I was very surprised at the location, so close to the highway, yet very private and cozy. The rocks in the front hill are unique (something else Jessica noticed). I loved the special touches painted on the furniture and walls. We were very pleased and would like to go back to visit Black Mountain, NC one day.

What a wonderful weekend! My husband, our five-year old grandson and I spent three nights in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and I must say it was one of the most relaxing weekends we have spent in a long time. Not only is the cabin located near attractions such as the zoo and pool which our grandson enjoyed, it has more conveniences than most expensive hotels...and none of the coldness. It gives you the feeling that you have "come home". There is easy access to the Parkway and downtown. My grandson enjoyed the board games and videos, which were provided. They kept him occupied when we weren't out sightseeing. Knowing you don't have to shop before you visit the cabin is a real plus. It is stocked with staples, has a full kitchen and the grocery stores are within a few minutes drive (or walk). The Wise Family has put a lot of consideration into the comfort of their guests and it really shows in this unique and cozy cabin. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys Asheville and the mountains. A rare value!

My husband and I visited this cabin (The Annex) in April and found it to be wonderful. The cabin is so cute! It had everything we needed. Beverly has it furnished beautifully and she even has medicines, toothbrushes, breakfast foods and sodas and other drinks. Beverly supplied milk, OJ breakfast goodies and coffee. The cabin is just great and the hot tub was really nice after sightseeing all day long. Again I cannot say enough about the condition of this cabin. Everything was clean and she even has pamphlets and maps of the area to help you out. It is located on the east side of Asheville and right around the corner there was a grocery store, drug store, McDonalds, dollar store, Pizza Hut, post office and card shop. Also the Asheville Mall was only about a mile or two away. We found it very convenient to get to all the attractions that we wanted to visit. We loved it and hope to go back in the Fall some year. It is basically for two people. Again Beverly is a great hostess and very helpful. It is a beautiful cabin.

What a wonderful 5 days! My husband and I love to take trips every spring. This one was special because it was our 5th wedding anniversary. When we got to the cabin (The Annex) we were met by the Wises and shown around the cabin. We were given great places to go and eat while were in Asheville. The cabin is very cozy and romantic for 2 people. Everything that was supplied for breakfast was great. Also, the Jacuzzi and fireplace made for a wonderful relaxing evening after a day of sightseeing in Asheville and surrounding areas. This is a wonderful, cozy, romantic and very reasonable cabin for 2 people to stay in while they are in the Asheville area. I also have to say we have stayed in many cabins in the past 5 years but this is the best one yet! We plan on visiting again in the near future.

My wife and I occasionally enjoy getting away for a relaxing weekend in the mountains of East TN and North Carolina. This quaint little mountain retreat turned out to be a real gem that suits us perfectly!! We have stayed in other cabins in the Ashville area, but none compare with this beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained "home away from home". The amenities are uncommon for rental property such this, making this little hideaway unique. The careful attention to decorating detail gives the cabin a wonderfully relaxing and "homey" feel, unlike most similar rental properties, and it contains all of the conveniences of home. In a very real sense, we felt as though we were visiting in the home of friends, but they just happened to be away for the weekend and had given us their house key. The Wises thought of everything to make our weekend relaxing and pleasant. Being only minutes from downtown Asheville and some really unique restaurants and craft stores has its advantages, and yet the Parkway is only minutes away for those who would chose a quiet drive through the mountain. We can highly recommend this unique little getaway, and we definitely plan to return soon

We stayed at the Annex recently for a long weekend and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin itself had everything we needed including a kitchen with all the essentials, TV and VCR, gas fireplace, and a screened-in porch with a jacuzzi. We almost didn't want to go out and see all the sights nearby, although there is so much to do.

The Wises themselves made it even more special. They were on hand to greet us when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back soon.
